Sherry Gale Wise, age 74, of Schererville, IN passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Majestic Care.
Sherry was born on Nov 17,1951 in E. Chicago, IN. After graduating Griffith High School, she became a hair stylist and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse fulfilling a lifelong dream. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was well known by family and friends for keeping her home neat and clean. Growing up, Sherry enjoyed swimming and boating at Bass Lake with her family. She also loved watching television, especially Lifetime and shopping at the Dollar Store for knick knacks. During her favorite season, Summer, you could usually find her riding her bike or enjoying the pool at the condominium. Occasionally, she enjoyed making pasta dishes that included tuna salad with shells, “Johnny Marzetti” (goulash) and spaghetti with meat sauce.
Sherry is survived by her son Craigory (Nancy) Wise; sister Pamela (Robert) Mattox; grandchild Harry Wise, niece Elizabeth (Casey) Heathman and children Jude & Scarlett; nephew Nathan (Dana) Mattox and children Hunter, Oliver and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Genevive Bach and her ex-husband Randy Wise and her cat Ninja.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, in Schererville, IN. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. untill 12:00 P.M., with a memorial service following.
