Maria Emmaoilides, age 94 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in her home surrounded by loved ones. Maria was the oldest of 9 children born in Kastoria, Greece. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Emmanoilides, whom she married in 1958.
Maria came to the US in 1969 and settled in East Chicago, IN. She woked for East Chicago Washington Schools for 25 years. In 2000, she moved to Indianapolis to care for her granddaughter Maria.
Maria is survived by her son Demetrios (Meinda) Emmanoilides, and daughter Polyxeni (Costa) Alexandridis. Grandchildren; Anastacia, Maria, Joanna, and Maria, along with 5 great grandchildren.
