Irene Panousis age 96 of Munster, Indiana passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her three sons: Peter (Kathy) Panousis, George (Connie) Panousis, and Gus (Diane) Panousis. Grandchildren: Irene (Gerardo) Lopez, Aristotelis (Jordan) Panousis, Telly (Jenny) Panousis, Nicko (Georgia) Panousis, Aris Panousis, and Nina Panousis. Great-grandchildren: Eros, Zoe, Callista, Cleo, Alexandra and baby Georgia. Brother: Pete (Helen) Kounelis.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband Aristotelis Panousis.
Funeral Service for Irene will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026 directly at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Schererville, IN at 10:00 A.M. Friends are invited to visit with Irene’s family on Friday at Church, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. At rest, Ridgelawn Cemetery Gary, IN.
