With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce that Dragica Ivanovic, age 92, of Munster, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. She was born on January 21, 1934 in Kordun former Yugoslavia to father Ilija and Mother Marija Tomic.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is remembered for her endless love and warmth towards all she knew. She was a caring, giving soul who loved family, celebrations, and all the beautiful things life had to offer. We all knew her as our Nana.
She is survived by her two children: Rada Tzanetakos, Milorad (Zaklina) Ivanovic; four Grandchildren: Helen (Neil) Boldus, Thomas (Amanda) Tzanetakos, Dragan Tzanetakos, Katarina Ivanovic; five great-grandchildren; Alexa, Nick, Jack, Lily, Olivia; brother: Milos (Suzana) Tomic; neices; Dragica Samardzija and family, Zorka Tarbuk, and family, Branka Karalic and family; numerous family, Kumovi, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dragan Ivanovic; brother Vaso (Mileva) Krivokuca; sisters Savka (Bogdan) Radicanin, Zorka (Stojko) Stefanovic; nieces: Sladjana and Dejana Tomic; aunt Dragica (Milorad) Vasic.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of East Chicago, [4021 Elm Street], with Very Rev. Aleksandar Savic officiating. Friends are invited to visit with Dragica’s family on Monday at Church from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. At rest, Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN.
