Mileva Gasich age 86, of Schererville, Indiana passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday June 10, 2025. She was born on October 25, 1938 in Selo Marinkovći, Bosansko Grahovo of the former Yugoslavia, to parents Ilija and Mioljka Aćamović. On April 13, 1967 Mileva, her husband Ilija, and her 3 young children immigrated to the United States to make a better life for their family and settled in East Chicago, Indiana. She was a hardworking wife and mother always putting her family’s needs first. Mileva is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Ilija. Her loving children: sons Milivojko Gasich, Borko (Debbie) Gasich, daughters Olga Gasich, Mioljka(Ranko) Ivetić.Her pride and joy, her everything, her grandson Ranko(Milena) Ivetić. Her precious great-grandson Niko IvetićSister Borka(Milan) Sorgić & family. Tetka Mima Malinović & family. Mileva leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, kumovi, prijatelji, & extended family throughout the United States, Bosna, Serbia, and Australia. Mileva was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in East Chicago, Indiana; as well as, Kolo Sestara (Circle of Serbian Sisters).
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30am with Opelo (Funeral Service) at 11:30am St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery (32377 N. Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville, ILwith V.
