Cecilia O’Donnell

Cecilia O’Donnell was born in Hammond Indiana on February 21st, 1926 and moved with her family to Schererville in 1942.  She attended Bishop Knoll High School and St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN. She was a parishioner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church for 73 years.  Cecilia was a member of The Congregation of the Holy Cross from 1945 until 1965 and was an educator, administrator, and counselor in both parochial and public schools until 1991. Cecilia married Dean O’Donnell in 1973.  She served in various church ministries until moving to Holy Cross Village, Notre Dame, IN in 2013.  Cecilia passed away on Sunday, November 24th, 2024.  She touched countless lives with her joy, love, and passion for serving others, always with Jesus as the center of her ministry. 

The Funeral Service will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Church
in Schererville with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 3rd, followed by Mass and burial at St. Michael Cemetery.
