Victor Manuel Chavarria, 50 of Crown Point, IN born December 29, 1971 in Mexico City, MX went to be with God on September 16, 2022.
Victor was a beloved husband of 22 years to Blythe (Becker), father of Tyler Filas, Alexis & MaKenna Chavarria. Son of Edmundo & Genoveva Chavarria and brother to Alicia (Roberto) Hernandez, and Edmundo Chavarria. Son-in-Law to William & Sharon Becker and Donna & Keith DiGioia, Brother-in-Law to Lisa Olson, Tracy Kreiss, Robert (Holly) Becker, Jeff (late Jennifer) Chadd, Scott (Jody) Stutler. Uncle to Robert, Nicholas, Diego, Samantha, Amanda, Kenneth, Jaime, BriAnn, Lauren, Jacob, Parker, Zoey, Aaron, Zack, Logan, Charlie, Peyton, and Sarah, along with other nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Victor was a 1990 graduate of Curie High School in Chicago and graduated from Robert Morris College with a degree. He worked for YRC Freight for over 21 years as a Transportation Supervisor, where he made some lifelong friends. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his daughters in all their different sports/activities. Victor enjoyed cheering on his home team The Chicago Cubs and trash talking all his White Sox and St. Louis Cardinal fan friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Victor’s daughters school fund. Friends are invited to visit with Victor’s family on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
