Sava (Andy) Andjelich, Age 59, of Hebron, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday , May 25, 2026.Sava was born on February 26, 1967 in Gary, Indiana to Dušan and Ilinka Andjelich. After graduating from Boone Grove High School and Superior School of Heavy Equipment Operating , Sava went on to a fulfilling career as an owner/operator of A.A. Enterprises as a true professional.In 2001 Sava joined Carol Schaefer and together they shared almost 25 wonderful years as a married couple.In 2008 , Sava and Carol became parents to Anastasia (Annie) Andjelich. Sava was known for being a loving dedicated husband , father and grandfather with his granddaughter Nevaeh. He loved vintage trucks, farming, and caring for his aging Mom. He also loved traveling and attending live concerts .Sava was a cherished member of St. Elijah Cathedral in Merrillville, Indiana and the Ravna Gora Chetnik organization.Sava is survived by his loving wife Carol, his loving daughter Anastasia (Domonic Geise) and granddaughter Nevaeh Rose , his mother Ilinka , brother Nikola (Rhonda), sister Jovanka (Jovo) Blesich, sister Mara (Nicky) Ivanovich, and brother Luka (Michael VanDekreke) , numerous nieces and nephews, cousins Vulinovic family , cousins Andjelich/Popovich families, Kum Milan Zmiko , and many friends and associates. Sava is preceded in death by his maternal/fraternal grandparents , father Dušan, stepson David Schaefer, mother in law Geraldine McGlothlen and brother in law Bob McGlothlen.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at the St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Merrillville at 12:30 P.M. Friends are invited to visit with Sava’s family on Monday at Church from 12.00 P.M. until the time of service.
