It is with heavy hearts, but a spirit filled with cherished memories, that we announce the passing of Michael Shaughnessy on December 29, 2023.
Survived by his sons Grant Shaughnessy and Griffin (Celia) Shaughnessy, along with three lively grandchildren – Gavin, Vada, and Tilly – Michael’s family was the center of his universe. He leaves behind three wonderful sisters: Maureen (Gene) Bartok, Patty Shaughnessy, and Kathleen (Mike) Clark, as well as his brother Vince (Ericka) Shaughnessy. His extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he held dear.
Michael is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rhonda Shaughnessy, parents, Joseph and Ann Shaughnessy and his brother, Joseph Shaughnessy, who preceded him in death. Together, they create a tapestry of love and memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. Michael’s journey on this earth was one filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to his Irish roots.
Join us in celebrating Michael’s life at the funeral service on Thursday, January 4th, at 1:30 pm at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home. Friends are invited to share stories and laughter with Michael’s family starting at Noon until the time of the service. Let’s come together to remember a man whose infectious smile and love touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
