Michael Carlson of Crown Point, Indiana passed away peacefully Saturday, May 24, 2025. Mike grew up in Clarendon Hills, IL and attended Drake University. He was an avid bowler and achieved many accolades over his years on the lanes. Bowling was more than just a hobby, it was a lifelong passion, that took him all over the country with his friends and family to compete and socialize. Mike was always fun to be around and had a great laugh – he made everyone feel welcome and put you at ease with his humor, smile, and big hugs. There was one thing Mike loved more than bowling, and that was his loving wife Connie with whom he has shared 44 years of marriage. You could always find them up to something – going out to dinner, seeing a band around the region or hanging with friends by their backyard pool oasis. Mike is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-law Ross Recker. Jen was the light of Mike’s life, and as a family, Mike, Connie and Jen approached every adventure and hardship together. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mike is preceded in death by his father Edward and mother Darlene.
Friends are invited to visit with Mike’s family on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. for a Celebration of Life.
