Kathryn (Kathy) Ordean

Kathryn (Kathy) Ordean of Gary passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  Born to Sam and Mary Ordean, Kathy attended Black Oak Elementary School and later graduated from Calumet High School class of “71”.  She was very active in her high school years as class president, student council, and many other groups.  Kathy attended college at Indiana University Bloomington but came home when her dad was sick to be closer to her mom.  She worked at the K-Mart in Lansing and Valparaiso, with her last job being at Wise Way Food Store.  She suffered for years with severe headaches, but through it all she kept her sweet spirit.  She will be missed, but we will carry her love in our hearts forever.  Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Mary Ordean.  She is survived by mate of 44 years Bruce Kelleher;  Cousin and best friend Ginger (John) Boone;  Close friends Dorothy (Gary) Waters, Reba (Ray) Mahaffey;  Uncle Frank (Norma) Good;  Special cousin Mary Margaret, and a host of other family and friends.  Friends are invited to visit with Kathy’s family on Friday, July, 9 2021 at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home (7607 W. Lincoln Hwy. Crown Point, In.  Rt. 30 one block East of Cline Ave. ) from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.  Funeral beginning Friday at 1:00 P.M.  At rest, Calumet Park Cemetery.
