Joyce Ann Myland (Baker) born June 24th, 1939 in Marion IL. and formerly of Dyer IN. passed away March 10, 2024. Loving mother to adoring daughters Debbie (Steve) Kelly, Sandra Myland (Rebecca Nowak). Phenomenal Grandma to devoted granddaughters Shauna (Nick) Walczak, Morgan Kelly (Daniel Cullison, Fiance’), Madison Kelly (TJ Wherrett), and close personal friend, like a son, Barry Lee. Joyce is preceded in death by her person, the love of each others lives, Al Anton. Al was coming to her in her dreams days before her death. She was actually packing her things up to meet him. We are sure they are walking the beaches of heaven, holding hands free from pain. Joyce was truly an amazing person and had extended family, not of blood but by love to her other grandchildren Tiffany Anton, Alex Anton, Nicholas Martin, Dareck Anton, Krystal Martin, Tyler Anton, Bradley Benko, Bella Nowak, and Makayla Marasco. Joyce also has numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family that she loved dearly, too numerous to list all of the names. She worked at Teibels Restaurant for over 30 years and was so loved by many.
Joyce was preceded in death by Sister Phyllis, Brothers William, Thomas, and Wendell. If you were lucky enough to be loved by her, she loved you fiercely and would fight to the death for you. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives and she will be missed horribly. We love you more than words can describe.
Services will be Friday March 15th at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home from 4p.m. to 6p.m. 7607 W. Lincoln Hwy. Crown Point, IN. 46307. Website lincolnridgefuneralhome.com
