Jovan Pamucar age 69 of Munster, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 3, 2025.  Jovan was born in Velika Glava (Dalmacija) Jugoslavija.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ruzica (Romic) Pamucar; his daughter, Biljana (Tomas) Kvietkauskas; son, Gojko (Milisava) Pamucar.  He was the loving brother of Milan (Senka) Pamucar and Zorka (Vignjevic).  He especially adored his four granddaughters: Evalina, Tatijana, Natalija, and Andelija.  Jovan is preceded in death by many loved ones, including his father, Gojko Pamucar (+1991), his mother, Kata Pamucar (+2022), and brother, Stevan Pamucar (+2022).Jovan will be deeply missed by his loving family, kumovi, and dear friends.  He immigrated to the southeast side of Chicago in 1977, after marrying his wife, Ruzica.  His strong work ethic led him to become a union painter for more than 25 years.  Even after suffering a severe stroke at the age of 47 and being confined to a wheelchair for over 20 years, Jovan’s journey of beating all the odds and living life to its fullest inspired many.  Family was his priority, as he enjoyed attending family celebrations, riding through the park, and taking trips across the states.  His remarkable inner strength, love of life, and compassion live in our hearts forever.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church 1500 186th St. Lansing, IL starting at 10:30 A.M. with services (opelo) starting at 11:30 A.M.  At rest, St. Sava Monastery Cemetery, Libertyville, IL with lunch (daca) to follow.
