Jovan (Johnny) Radinovic, 58, of Schererville, IN, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2024. Jovan is survived by his daughters: Christina Radinovic and Mya Radinovic; Mother, Boja Radinovic; Sister, Melanie (Djuro) Jaksic; Significant Other, Donna; Ujo, Milan Zobenica; Dearest Cousin Rada Rapaich and family; Tetka Mika and family; Čiča Dragan and family; Beloved Čiča Lazo and family; Sava Stojkovich and family; as well as many cousins, relatives and Kumovi in the United States and Canada.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and beloved father, Todor (Tode) Radinovic.
Jovan was born on September 21, 1966, in East Chicago, IN. He is a graduate of Lake Central High School. He was very dedicated to his family, especially his daughters and sister. Jovan took on various jobs throughout his life beginning with Jovan’s Landscaping to building, mechanics, and caretaker to his mother and uncle. He could do it all, with his most recent work as a pipe fitter, but always putting his family’s and dear friends’ best interests first. Jovan lived a simple life with a heart of gold, and the selflessness he had is indescribable, leaving behind a legacy of love by all that knew him.
Jovan had a love for the water, beach, boating, hanging out with family and friends at home in his pole barn. He loved going to Arizona and Florida, which, once again, was so important to him because he had family there.
Jovan was truly an amazing, good-hearted soul who touched all who encountered him with his full of life personality, his infectious laugh, his love of life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He will forever be in our hearts. We will carry his spirit with us striving to embody the joy, kindness, and love he so effortlessly shared. Until we meet again, know that you are loved beyond measure. Vjecnaja Pamjat! Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pomen 6:00 p.m. at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W. Lincoln Highway, Schererville, IN. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 905 E. Joliet St., Schererville, IN. V. Rev. Radovan Jakovljevic officiating.
