Joseph Spott of Merrillville, passed away on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024. He is survived by his children, Dawn (Steve) Martinez, Joseph P. Spott, and Kelley Spott; along with cherished grandchildren Maritza and Lauren Spott. He is preceded in death by his wife Marie Spott and son H. James (Jim) Spott; Brothers; Saad, David, and Phillip Spott; parents Marian (Sallie) & Hasson Sbatt. Joe owned and operated Keystone Machine in East Chicago for 35 years after retiring from Blaw Knox Mill and Foundry in East Chicago, Indiana. He was an avid outdoorsman and dog lover. He was a member of the Islamic Center of Michigan City, a proud 50 year Mason, Scottish Rite and Orak Shriner.
Friends are invited to visit with Joe’s family on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home. At rest, Memory Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to children’s charities.
