John Jamison Verdeyen (Jamie) passed away on July 10, 2024 at age 65 in Fort Worth Texas.
Born Feb 19, 1959 in Gary IN Jamie was the youngest son of Gerald & Jacqueline Verdeyen . He was preceeded in death by his father Gerald. He leaves behind his wife, Isabel, two children, Nicole Verdeyen and David Verdeyen, his mother Jacqueline, his siblings who loved him very much, Mark (Jae) Verdeyen, Michael (Lorraine) Verdeyen, Gerald Verdeyen, Paula (Dennis) Yoakum and Michelle (Gary) Jones, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jamie grew up in the kid-filled neighborhood of Glen Park, and enjoyed spending time with his siblings and friends playing sports, sledding, building ice rinks and go-carts. The first dream car he owned was a ’68 Ford Mustang and his last purchase was a Mustang Mach 1! Jamie also learned to be a great cook. His sense of humor was second to none, and get togethers meant lots of laughter. Jamie loved his family, they meant everything to him.
Jamie relocated to Texas and retired from Ball Corporation. Whenever he returned to visit Indiana he enjoyed getting together with old friends.
We love him and will miss him dearly, but he will be in our hearts forever.
