Irene Nowell, age 89, crossed over to her Lord on January 16, 2021. She is survived by her sister in law Sue Usewicz, loving daughters Debra (David) Shelton and Tina (Kelly) Eyer; grandmother of Angela Nowell, James S. Nowell Jr., Christina Lehman, Juliet Obenauf, Cheri Essex, Jeff Nowell, Nick Nowell, Tammy Viers, Katie Struble, and 22 great grand children. Preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend Jim, and their sons James and Jeffrey. She was an active member of St. Michael Church and participated as a Sacristan. She was born in Whiting and a graduate of Whiting High School class of 1950. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church Schererville. Visitation Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home.
