With deep love and sadness, we share that Donnajean Manous, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on April 19, 2026. She entered eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family.

Donnajean was a loving mother, sister and aunt whose kindness, warmth and steady presence touched the lives of those who knew her. DJ was alover of life who collected many friends over her years and will long be remembered for her passion for dancing, music and hosting celebrations. Her family was the center of her world and her daughters meant everything to her. They were her joy, her purpose and her greatest blessing from God.

She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Bacino and her husband Vinceand Susan Manous all of Munster; and by her sister Piper Huston and her husband, John, of Naples, FL.: and her devoted nephew Garry Manous and his wife Amanda and their three children Leah, Dino and George, who were cherished by her as grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom were very dear to her and brought great joy to her life.

Donnajean was preceded in death by her husband, George Manous, her parents, Donald and Katherine Slack, and by her brother, Donald Slack Jr., who gave his life during the Viet Nam War.

She was a long time member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Schererville, Indiana and a member of the Philoptochos Society.

Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 24th, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 528 West 77thAvenue, Schererville, Indiana. At rest, Ridgelawn Cemetery.
