Cvita Babich age 86 of Crown Point, IN; born in Glamoc, Bosnia- former Yugoslavia, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Cvita is preceded in death by her husband Stevo Babich. She is survived by her loving Children; Vojin (Stacy) Babich, Darinka (Bogdan) Cucuz. 4 Grandchildren; Zachary, Sofija, Sasha (Tanner) Leissner, and Tia. 2 Brothers; Drago & Milenko. Many Nieces, Nephews, Kumovi, and Dear Friends. Cvita truly cherished her family and orthodox faith. She was a founding member of the St Elijah Orthodox Church and member of the Kolo group. Cvita loved baking pita, nut roll, cookies and bread for every Serbfest, tournament, shower and wedding for fellow friends/kumovi. She was known as “Baba Cvita” to many who loved her so much. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral Service for Cvita will take place Monday, December 20, 2021 directly at the St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church Merrillville at 9:30 A.M. Friends are invited to visist with Cvita’s family Monday at Church from 8:30 A.M. until the time of service. At rest, St. Sava Cemetery Libertyville, Ill.
