Arlene A. Magistrelli (nee Kubu)

FORMERLY OF SCHERERVILLE, IN & CLEVELAND, OH-Arlene A. Magistrelli (nee Kubu) age 88, passed away July 13, 2018. Arlene was born July 29, 1929 to Stephen and Caroline Kubu. She was a devoted wife to late, Hugo Magistrelli for 50 years. She is survived by her daughters: Carol (Allen) Schweitzer and Lynne (David) McDonald. Cherished grandmother of: Kimberly Grcevich, Christopher Schweitzer, Erin (Joshua) Arickx, Stephen (Katie) McDonald; loving great-grandma Ollie to: Madison, Courtney, Connor, Riley, Annabelle, Tucker, Blaire and Piper; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brother, Edward Kubu. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the LINCOLN RIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 7607 W. Lincoln Highway, Schererville (RT. 30 E of Cline Ave.) with Deacon Brian Nosbusch officiating. At Rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to visit with Arlene’s family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till time of service. Arlene was a homemaker and her passion was welcoming family and friends into their home, always cooking up fantastic meals. She cared for several family members in her home and nursed them back from serious illnesses. As a child, Arlene be came a gymnast all the way through a young adult. She was very active in Girl Scouts with her daughters and also volunteered countless hours for the PTA. She was fun loving, witty, and will be dearly missed.
