Anica (Bilic) Kostur, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born January 8, 1936 in Civljane, Vrlika in the former Yugoslavia. Anica married the love of her life, Milan Kostur, on January 8,1956. In 1968, she and her two sons immigrated to the United States to join her husband. They resided in Crown Point, Indiana, devoting themselves to their family. Anica worked at Arthur Winer as a talented seamstress for 15 years, and later as a cook at St. Elijah Hall for a number of years. Since 1968, she has been a proud member of St. Elijah Church and The Circle of Serbian Sisters. However, her most profound role was that of a homemaker; selflessly caring for her loving family. Anica’s kind and gentle essence touched those around her, and her tender spirit is now carried through her grandchildren. She was deeply compassionate about those she loved and her family felt her love every single day. Anica was devoted to her church and enjoyed gardening, knitting, needlework, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind friends and family with happy memories. Anica is survived by loving husband of 64 years Milan, Two sons; Milos (Stana) Kostur, and Rajko (Vesna) Kostur. Six cherished grandchildren; Jovan, Kristina, Milan, Nina, Aleksa and Nikolet. Brother; Milic (Mara) Bilic, Sister; Stana (Mile) Novoselac, both of Hamilton, Canada. Brother in law, and Sister in law Petar and Mira Kostur of Jacksonville, Florida. Numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Kumovi, dear friends, and other extended family. Anica is preceded in death by her parents Nikola and Andja (Zelenovic) Bilic and sister Marija Kurobasa. Due to covid restrictions, a private family service will be held January 6,2021 at the St. Elijah Church in Merrillville, IN. with Father Aleksandar Novakovic officiating. Internment in Calumet Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the Church on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m until the time of service.
