John “JJ” Jaskula

John “JJ” Jaskula

John “JJ” Jaskula, 87, of Schererville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026.

Known affectionately as “JJ” by friends and family, John had a larger-than-life personality that drew people to him wherever he went. He never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t made yet. He loved spending time on the golf course with his buddies and could often be found dancing, bringing energy and joy to every gathering. His warmth, humor, and engaging spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John was a proud Army veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963, and was honored with the Good Conduct Medal for his service. He spent many years working as a union representative and continually strived to be his own boss. He built a successful career as the owner and operator of a cleaning business, which ultimately evolved into a stone and marble restoration company, which he ran for over 20 years with dedication and pride along with his friend and partner. John was a Mason (Lodge 686) and Shriner (Orak Shrine).

John is survived by his loving children, Jackie, Susan (Bergner), Christopher, and Giavanna (Rabatine); his grandchildren Seth and Max (Gonzalez) and Link (Bergner); his brother Robert (Rose) and their children; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary F. Jaskula (Reed), son Reed Jaskula, and his brother, Joseph Jaskula.

John’s legacy lives on in the countless friendships he formed and the joy he brought into the lives of others.

Friends are invited to visit with John’s family on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home (7607 W. Lincoln Highway) from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
