Cynthia Sue Lynch, 68, of Hebron, Indiana passed away surrounded by the love of her family at 12:27 A.M. on Thursday, December 15th. Cindy, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Elgin, Illinois on June 23, 1954 to Walter and Laverne Biermann. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Allen Lynch; three children Patrick (Jennifer) Newell, Eric (Melissa Lomberger) Newell, and Bradley (Elizabeth) Newell; stepson Rick Lynch; her brother Greg; and 9 grandchildren that she loved and adored. Cindy’s death is preceded by her parents, her brother Randy, and stepson Robert Lynch. Cindy worked in many places over the years, but most notably she worked for Home Lumber Company where she met her husband and many of her closest friends. With a wit and sass that was uniquely Cindy, she found ways to befriend, help, and touch lives wherever she went. Whether it was providing a place to stay for those who needed a roof and a warm bed, checking in weekly with folks who could use the sound of a friendly voice, picking up a loved one for a haircut, or taking in one of her many rescue pets that she loved dearly- simply put, her door was always open. Cindy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many that loved her. Her spunk, loyalty, and the light she shined on others will be extremely missed.
The family is hosting an open house and celebration of life on December 28th at the Youche County Club, 2301 W. 129th Place, Crown Point, IN 46307. Open House 11AM-1:30PM. Celebration of Life: 1:30PM- 2PM. As Cindy was a true lover of animals, her family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to the Humane Society of Indiana and Lakeshore Paws.
