Sam Mouratides of Schererville IN, passed away peacefully in his home on February 3, 2022 at the age of 88.  He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Magdaline Mouratides, sons Carey Mouratides (Argie) and John Mouratides (Rose) and daughters Parey Baranowski (Chris) and Pat Mouratides (Jake Johnson), eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Sam retired from a long career at Inland Steel and relished in spending time at his farm property cutting trees, splitting wood, and gardening. At home he enjoyed watching professional wrestling, going to soccer games, and spending time with his family.  Funeral Service for Sam will take place Tuesday, February 8, 2022 directly at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church Schererville, IN at 10:00 A.M.  Friends are invited to visit with Sam’s family at Church Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.  At rest, Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
