Jovo Radlovich

Jovo Radlovich, 68, of Cedar Lake, IN, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away on September 19, 2025. Jovo was born on January 5, 1957, in Selo Radlovici near Bosanko Grahovo, former Yugoslavia, from parents Milos & Joka (Acamovic) Radlovic who are preceded in death. In 1969 at the age of 12, he immigrated to the United States with his parents and sister. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, worked as a purchasing agent at O’Hare Airport before becoming self-employed opening a gas station and several other businesses over the years before retiring. Jovo loved traveling, sharing stories about his hometown of Bosanko Grahovo, and anything involving the Serbian culture. He was a man of many talents, an artist, ski jumper, and pilot. He had natural ability for engineering and working with his hands being able take things apart and put it back together. He was the person who everyone called to help them fix things due to his knowledge in building construction and engines. He loved teaching the things he knew and had a passion for his projects. After the war in 1995 in the former Yugoslavia, he monetarily helped many people who were impacted. Helping people made him feel worthy and appreciated. He always made a point to say to write everything down and never be afraid to ask questions.He is survived by his wife Ljubinka Radlovic; children Jovan (Annie), Nikola, Jovana, and Marija Radlovic; grandchildren Jovan, Kane, and Ronan Radlovic; sister Dusanka (Jim) Clercx; nephews Dean and Alex Calovic and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, kumovi and friends in the United States, Australia, Serbia, and Bosnia. Jovo was an amazing man and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Pomen at 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W. Lincoln Highway, Schererville, IN. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Gracanica Monastery Third Lake, IL. Interment to follow at the Monastery Cemetery. V Rev. Milorad Jancic officiating.
