JOHN MATTINGLY JAN 02,1943 – NOVEMBER 30, 2025
JOHN passed away at home unexpectantly on November 30. John is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda (Risch) Mattingly. Children, Kim (Dan) Kubath, DuaneMattingly, and Dena (Kevin) McCarthy as well as step children, Dawn (Mike) Zajac and ChrisBlackmer. John had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. John was a graduate of GriffithHigh School. John was the former owner of Eddies Amoco Gas station. He truly loved his customers and madesure work was completed to a level of satisfaction by his team and the customer. After Eddiesclosed, he went to work for a long time friend, Stan and Chip Lukasik of Stans Auto Salvage. Here John drove a tow truck and at times Linda would ride along as a side kick. John and Linda werepretty much inseparable. John enjoyed playing on Earl’s Golf League often serving in a position elected yearly. He played in many golf outings and really enjoyed the people who played along side him. When john played everyone had fun. He also enjoyed poker night with friends. John was a hard working loving man who is already missed by many. A service will be held at Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home from 2PM to 5PM on Tuesday December 9, 2025.
