Paul Lyman Van Sickle

Paul Lyman Van Sickle, formerly of Schererville, Indiana, passed away on November 8, 2025, at his home in Chesterton, Indiana at the age of 92. Paul was born on June 2, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana of Clarence Russell and Sylvia Ann (Dye) Van Sickle. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Charlene (Phillips) Van Sickle, daughter Paula, and sons Kenneth, Brian, wife Victoria (Heady), and Keith, grandsons Kevin, Brandon, David, Daniel, Michael, the Reverend Fr. Jacob, and Benjamin, as well as great grandchildren Alyson, Jayce, Emra, Jack, Adisyn, Michael, John, Aaron, Joshua, Isaac, Matthew, Jude Miriam, and Ephraim. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Russell and Sylvia Van Sickle, brothers Noel, Franklin, Wayne, and sister Pearle. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; but above all, he was (and remains) a devoted Christian, rearing his children by example in the holy fear of God, and actively serving His Church. May his memory be eternal. Visitation will be at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Schererville, Indiana on Friday, November 14th at 9:30am. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am, and final committal will follow immediately at the Saint Michael Church cemetery.
